Chocolate Matchmaker
Match sweets, earn stars and make chocolates to order

A swap match-3 with a story to paint. Line up three jellies to clear them, make paint brushes, buckets, spray cans and palettes from the bigger matches, and clear the crates, sculptures, vases and floor that each level puts in your way. Every win pays a star, and stars buy the tasks that paint a moment of Valerie's life: an art student with big dreams, a tiny room and a very nosy cat. In three timed levels she paints at her easel while the cat creeps towards the canvas, and your matches keep it off.
Did you like Valerie's Galleries?
Valerie's Galleries is a swap match-3 about an art student with big dreams, a tiny room and a very nosy cat. Swipe two neighbouring jellies to line up three or more of a colour and they clear, the jellies above fall and new ones drop in. Four in a line leave a paint brush that paints a whole row or column, an L or a T leaves a paint bucket that splashes everything around it, a square of four makes a spray can that flies off to hit a tile you still need, and five in a row make a palette that takes every jelly of one colour when you swap it; swap two powers together for something bigger. Each of the 30 levels sets its goals inside a fixed number of moves: so many jellies of a colour, crates that break when you match right next to them, sculptures that only the paint powers can crack, vases that fall like jellies, and a green floor that clears when you match on top of it. Some boards have spawners inside them that feed the rows below, so a sculpture behind one is reached by powers alone.
Every level you win pays a star, and the stars go on Valerie's story. The home screen shows a moment of her life as a pencil sketch with a list of tasks: set up the easel, hang the curtains, pet the cat, each for one to three stars, and each one brushed into the picture in colour as you buy it. Three moments wait in turn: Made it, her tiny room the night before her final art exam; Spring cleaning, the old kitchen made fresh before friends come over; and Sunny studio day, her first little studio filled with light, plants and paint. A finished moment opens a chest of paint tools and Valerie celebrates over the picture; the Album keeps them to look at again.
Three of the levels are timed painting levels: Valerie's Tragedy, Sunflower Study and Portrait in Blue. Valerie sits at her easel beside the board and paints as you collect the colours, while the cat creeps across the floor towards the canvas; collect everything before the clock runs out and the painting is finished, and if the cat gets there first it is simply time to try again. Under every board wait four paint tools that do not cost a move: the Brush paints over one tile, the Row brush and the Column brush clear a line, and the Palette clears every jelly of one colour; you start with a few of each and the chests pay more. There are no lives and no coins: play as long as you like, replay any level from the level list, in portrait or landscape, with a swipe or the mouse, and your stars and moments are saved in your browser.
Valerie's Galleries pays for the shape you set up, not the first three you see. Three jellies clear three jellies, but four in a line leave a paint brush, an L or a T a paint bucket, a square of four a spray can and five in a row a palette, so look for the swap that makes a power before you take the obvious match, and swap two powers together when they sit side by side. Crates and vases break from matches beside them, so work along their edges; the floor clears only under a match; sculptures crack only from the powers, so send a brush along their row or let a spray can find them.
The paint tools under the board never cost a move, so use them when a level is slipping: the Brush takes one stubborn crate, the Row brush and the Column brush clear a line through the floor, and the Palette thins out the colour you still need most. On a timed level keep matching without a pause; the cat creeps closer as the clock runs down, and every colour you collect is paint on the canvas. Spend your stars as soon as you have them: a finished moment pays a chest of tools for the harder levels ahead.
Yes. Valerie's Galleries is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download, no account to make and nothing to buy: there are no lives and no coins, every level can be replayed as often as you like, and your stars and painted moments are saved in the browser you play in.
Yes. The game is made for a swipe: drag a jelly onto a neighbour to swap them, tap a power to set it off and tap a paint tool under the board to arm it. It plays in portrait and in landscape, and on a computer the mouse does the same, with the tools beside the board.
Levels 8, 19 and 29 have a clock instead of a move count. Valerie sits at her easel next to the board and every colour you collect goes onto her canvas, while the cat creeps across the floor towards it. Collect all the goals before the time runs out and the painting is finished; if the cat gets there first, you simply try again.
They are the pictures of Valerie's life that your stars paint: Made it, her tiny room the night before her final art exam; Spring cleaning, the old kitchen; and Sunny studio day, her first studio. Each has a list of tasks costing one to three stars, every task is brushed into the picture, and a finished moment opens a chest of paint tools.
