Tap Flight
One tap. Don't hit anything.
Games you play with a single key, click or tap: lift a disc through a tunnel, drop slabs on a growing tower, flip pancakes, glide a paper plane through a canyon and shoot hoops from the rooftops. Quick to learn on a phone or a keyboard, hard to put down.

One tap. Don't hit anything.

Sixty seconds, one hot hand

Tap in time, build to the sky

Hold to glide, let go to dive

One tap. Golden every time.

One-button rhythm platformer

Hop the street, ring the bells, fill the pail

Hold to fly, swoop through the cave

Swing on silk across a cobwebbed attic
A one-button game gives you a single thing to do, and all the skill goes into when you do it. Press too early and the slab lands off-centre, too late and the pancake burns. Some games ask for a tap, others for a hold and a release, but there is never a second control to learn. You understand a new game within a few seconds, and you can play it with one thumb on a bus.
That simple input covers more ground than you might expect. The one-button games on Kiloo include casual score chasers, an arcade basketball game, a rhythm platformer and a handful of seasonal runners and flyers. Most keep a best score or distance in your browser and offer a daily run, so there is always a number to beat and a reason to come back.
Tap Flight is the purest of them: tap to lift a little glowing disc through the gaps between neon pillars, and grab the gold stars for bonus points. Stack Tower has a crane swinging a glass floor over your tower, and anything hanging over the edge shears off when you drop it, so the aim is to land each one dead centre. Pancake Flip is about timing too: tap when the browning ring reaches the golden band and land the pancake square on a wobbling plate.
The hold games feel different. In Paper Glider you hold to pull the nose of a paper plane up and let go to dip and gain speed, riding wind gusts through a watercolour canyon, with a Zen mode that has no obstacles. Rooftop Hoops has you hold to charge a power meter and let go in the pink band for a clean swish. Beat Bounce sets its levels to music: tap to hop the walls, hold to roll under the bars, and every landing plays the next note.
Seven more appear for their season. At Christmas there is Gift Wrap Rush, where you tap as each icon reaches the gold ring, and Sleigh Run, an endless rooftop runner that drops gifts down chimneys. For Halloween there are Trick or Treat, Bat Swoop and Spider Swing, which has forty levels of swinging on threads of silk. At Easter you can play Bunny Hop across a meadow or Bunny Race, a five-meadow cup.
On a computer, Space is the button in almost every one of these games, and a mouse click works too. In Sleigh Run, Trick or Treat, Bunny Hop and Bat Swoop the Up arrow does the same job. On a phone or tablet you tap or hold anywhere on the screen, so it does not matter where your thumb rests. P pauses and M mutes, and R restarts in several of them.
A tip that works across the whole set: watch the rhythm before you watch your score. Many of these games speed up as you go, so the early part is your practice. Beat Bounce plays fully with the sound off thanks to its beat markers, and it has a calibration step on the title screen if your taps feel late. For something gentle, Paper Glider has its Zen mode and Bat Swoop a relaxed Breeze.
Yes. Every one-button game on Kiloo is free to play in your browser. There is nothing to download or install and no account needed. Your best scores, distances and stars are kept in the browser you play in, so they stay on that device.
Yes, all thirteen work on phones and tablets as well as computers, and a touch screen suits them well. You tap or hold anywhere on the screen, so there are no small buttons to hit. Gift Wrap Rush also has a WRAP button, but tapping the belt works just as well.
Tap Flight is the quickest to understand: one tap lifts the disc and the gaps slowly tighten. If you prefer a calmer pace, try Paper Glider in Zen mode, where there are no obstacles. Stack Tower is a good next step, because it rewards careful timing over speed.
The single control makes them easy to pick up, and several are gentle. Spider Swing is spooky-cute and nobody gets hurt, Bat Swoop has a relaxed Breeze mode and bounces softly off the cave walls, and Paper Glider has its obstacle-free Zen mode. Sleigh Run also has a relaxing two-minute Cosy night.
Bunny Race, which appears for Easter, lets two players race on one keyboard in split screen: player one hops with Space and player two with the Up arrow, and on a touch screen each of you taps your own half. The other one-button games are for one player, so you can take turns chasing the same best score.
