Grid Knight
Turn-based bonks on a tile grid

Arena Legend is a sports RPG about getting a champion ready for the big day. Pick a look, spell a name from letter tiles and you have a week to plan. Every day is a card: weights for strength, sprints for agility, chess for wits, cheering practice for heart, a rest day, or a friendly bout against Sparbot. Each card shows exactly what it gives, and fatigue matters: a fresh champion gains three points, a tired one only one, and whoever walks into the tournament worn out starts every bout with less energy. The scouting cards show the three rivals waiting at the cup and the stat each of them is weakest in, so the week becomes a quick brain teaser of its own.
Bouts are turn-based duels on a padded ring against training robots, costumed rivals and friendly monster champions. Your rival always shows its next move above its head: a heavy swing, a guard, a rally that heals. You answer with one of five moves. A quick jab rattles a heavy swing before it lands, a feint slips past a guard, a taunt drops the rival's guard for two turns, a heavy swing stops a rally cold, and a rally gets you back on your feet. Every card shows its damage, healing and cost in energy. A fighter who runs out of HP goes down with stars circling their head, the ref helps them up, and the second down ends the bout with a bow and a cheering crowd. Nobody gets hurt.
The career runs through eight tournaments in four arenas, from the Village Green to the Harbour Hall, the Mountain Stadium and the Grand Colosseum, and then you defend your title. Prize coins are earned in the ring and spent only in the kit room, on padded gloves, lucky bandanas, boots and sashes with their bonuses in plain numbers, and the trophies go on the shelf in your trophy room. Legend Ladder is the endless mode: one down per bout, your HP carries over and every win brings a choice of boosts, with a high score for the highest climb. The daily exhibition bout is the same seeded match for everyone that day. Every roll is seeded, and the game saves after every turn, so you can close the tab mid-bout and pick it up on the same turn.
Level up, gather loot and venture one floor deeper.
