Grid Knight
Turn-based bonks on a tile grid

Loot Hunter is a gear-crafting auto-battler where the thinking happens before the fight. Your hero waits in a guild hall next to a wooden mannequin with six gear slots: hat, cloak, gloves, boots, trinket and tool. Every piece shows its numbers for Power, Guard, Speed and Luck, and pieces from the same set unlock bonuses at two, four and six, from Moss regen and Miner openers to Frost freezes and Cloud dodges. A Rating sums your kit up and every expedition shows the Rating it needs, so it is a brain game about building the best kit rather than a test of reflexes.
Thirty expeditions lead through the forest, the mine, the ruins, the glacier, the volcano and the cloud isles. Each one plays out on its own as a turn-by-turn battle log with portraits, so you can sit back and relax while slimes, bats, ghosts, robots and grumpy bosses bump back until they poof. Watch at 1×, 2× or 4×, or skip straight to the loot. Drops come in five rarities from Plain to Legend: drag a piece onto its twin to fuse them into a better one, salvage spares for scrap and craft exactly the set piece you are missing. At expedition ten a sidekick pet joins with a slot of its own.
Once the first boss is down, the Gauntlet chains fights together with rising difficulty and hit points that carry over, an endless climb where your best depth is the high score to beat. Battles and drops are seeded, so a fight replays exactly, and the campaign is saved in your browser, even in the middle of a battle. It is quick to pick up and there is no real money anywhere: drag or tap on a phone, or use the mouse and keyboard on a computer.
Level up, gather loot and venture one floor deeper.
