Big Wheel Bash

Big Wheel Bash is built on one rig: a heavy chassis slung between two enormous knobbly tyres on coils long enough to soak up a two-storey drop. Throttle spins the wheels, brake stops them, and the moment all four corners leave the dirt the left and right keys become pitch control. That single idea carries the whole game. Landing flat keeps your speed and tops up the nitro bottle; landing on the nose folds the front end into the clay and costs you half a second you will not get back. Come off a kicker with enough air and a full rotation of the body is a stunt bonus, and the crowd noise swells with it.

The cars are the point. Every row of old saloons, taxis and vans in the arena is there to be driven straight through — the truck ploughs into the first door, the roof folds, and the tyres climb over the wreck and onto the next one while glass and panel steel spray out sideways. Each flattened car scores, fills the nitro bottle and fires the pyro pods along the barrier. Twelve tracks run across three arenas. Dirt Dome is packed clay, dirt hills and launch ramps under white light. Junkyard Jam adds bogs that drag the wheels down, stacked wrecks and walls of tractor tyres to smash through. Steel Circus brings the girders out: raised steel decks, see-saws and a full loop-the-loop you have to carry real speed into or you slide back down the way you came.

Race pits you against a rival truck in the lane behind yours, with the leader always drawn nearest the camera, so a pass swaps the two of you over in the frame. Pick Easy, Normal or Sharp for how hard the rival drives. Crush Rush gives you sixty seconds on an endless scrap yard and counts nothing but flattened cars. Time Trial puts a translucent ghost of your own best run on the track beside you. Six trucks to choose between, each with its own weight, power, grip and flame paint job, from the heavy Boulder that lands like an anvil to the light, revvy Hornet that gets airborne off anything. Medals are earned per track on time and cars crushed, and every best is kept on your own device. Arrow keys or WASD with space for nitro; on a phone there are throttle, brake, nitro and two tilt buttons.
