Star Squadron
Ten stages, big bosses, one plucky fighter

Drag back from the cannon on your cliff fort, watch the dotted arc bend in the wind and let go. Cannonballs bounce off rock, splash into the waves and knock cardboard pirate hulls apart, while the parrot and crab crews jump overboard and paddle off.
Fort Cannon is an angle-and-power artillery game set on a bright, painted coastline. Your cannon sits on a cliff fort on the left. Across the water sail pirate sloops, brigs and galleons, airships bob overhead and a kraken-shaped submarine keeps surfacing and diving. Drag back from the cannon to set the angle and the power, check the windsock and let go. Every ball follows gravity and the wind, bounces off sea stacks, splashes into the waves and breaks the cardboard-style hulls into floating planks. Nobody gets hurt: the parrots flap away and the crabs swim for it.
Sixty levels are spread over five seas, from Parrot Bay to the Treasure Isles. Each level gives you a set number of cannonballs, and you earn up to three stars for the ones you have left. Many are small brain teasers. Ships hide behind tall rocks, so you need a high lob. Ledges force a low, skimming shot. Iron hulls only break when you hit a powder keg and set off a chain reaction. The dotted aiming arc also gets shorter the further you sail. Every sea ends with a flagship that fires back at your fort, so you patch the walls between shots. Loot from sunk ships buys special shots: chain shot, a cluster that splits in five, a bouncy ball, a heavy ball that ignores the wind and a balloon shot that drops straight down from above.
After the campaign, the Endless armada keeps sending waves until your walls fall. A flagship turns up every fifth wave, hit streaks build a combo multiplier and your high score is saved in your browser. The Daily sea gives everyone the same armada and thirty cannonballs each day. Play with a mouse, the keyboard or touch. On a phone you can pull back from the cannon, or fine-tune with the aim stick and press the big fire button.
Aim, fire and clear the sky, the sea and the stars.
