Tap Flight is a one-button flyer with a Kiloo disc at the heart of it. Gravity pulls the little craft down, every tap gives it a lift, and the whole game is the balance between the two. There is nothing to learn: tap, glide, slip through the next gap.
Each gap you clear is a point, and every ten points the sky moves on — day, dusk, night, then a green and violet aurora — while the pillars close in a little tighter. Gold stars hang in the middle of some gaps and are worth five more, so the safest line and the greedy line are rarely the same one. Fly clean and the disc leaves a warm orange trail behind it; clip a pillar or touch the ground and the screen shakes you out of the run.
It plays the same on a phone held upright, on a tablet and on a desktop browser: tap the screen, click the mouse or press Space. Your best score is kept in your browser, P pauses the run and M mutes the sound.
Easy to pick up, hard to put down.
