Type Rocket is a first typing game for children from four to ten. A little rocket waits on its launch pad with a ginger cat at the porthole, and every correct key lifts it a bit higher: past the clouds, through a sky that turns from morning blue to starry purple, past a smiling planet and all the way to the moon. A round is ten exercises, so a quick flight takes a few minutes, and it ends with the rocket landing on the moon, a shower of confetti and a planet sticker for the sticker book.
Three age buttons set the content. At 4+ one big letter fills the card and its key glows on the on-screen keyboard, starting with the home row and moving on to the whole alphabet. At 6+ the child types forty two- and three-letter picture words such as cat, sun and dog, letter by letter, with the next key lit up. At 8+ come longer picture words and short phrases like TWO CATS or RED HAT, with the space bar, backspace and a hand guide that shows which finger reaches each key, plus a gentle words-per-minute count on the result card. There is no timer while typing and nothing to lose: a wrong key gives the rocket a little wobble, and after a second miss the right key lights up.
It works with a real keyboard, a mouse or big touch keys on a phone, and shift or caps lock are never needed. The daily flight is the same for everyone each day and earns a gold daily sticker, while stars and a learned meter for each age keep track of progress, all saved in your own browser. Good brain training for small fingers, and calm enough to relax with.
Numbers, letters, shapes and the clock, learned by playing.
