Read the brief, style the client

Wash, cut, style and colour, then the big reveal

File, polish and sparkle ten tiny nails

Read the brief, style the look

Paint, paper and furnish rooms for clients

Style a collection, then walk the show

Wash, fluff, snip and style a happy pet

Thread beads into jewellery for every client

Design a print, press it onto anything

Style the client before the taxi honks
In a fashion or makeover game you are the stylist. A client sits down or steps onto the podium, and you choose the clothes, the hair, the nails, the make-up or the furniture until the look is right. The fun is in trying things out: swap a colour, add a hat, take it off again, and see the whole look change in front of you.
Most of the fashion games on Kiloo work the same way. Each client brings a brief as a row of picture cards, such as an umbrella for a rainy walk, a disco ball for a party or a fan of colour chips for the palette, and when you are done a reveal, often with a camera flash, scores how well the look fits the brief. The score is kind: it judges the brief, not the person, and clients come with all kinds of skin tones, hair textures, body shapes and ages. Every game also has a daily round with a streak and a Free Studio with no brief at all, where you can save your looks and take photos.
For clothes, start with Style Studio, where you dress each client from a wardrobe of 143 pieces that can all be recoloured in sixteen swatches. Runway Show asks for a bit more planning: you dress three models so their looks read as one collection, then watch them walk under spotlights and camera flashes. Dress Rush is the quick one, with clients who arrive one after another and a taxi waiting outside that honks when time is up, across thirty levels in six boutiques.
For a full makeover, Hair Studio has you wash, blow-dry, cut, curl, braid and colour hair in twelve textures, from sleek straight to cloud coils. Makeup Mirror gives you eyeshadow, liner, blush, lipstick and face paint, with a before and after slider at the end. Nail Art lets you file, paint, stamp and decorate five nails, zooming in on one at a time or mirroring every stroke to all five.
Three games take styling somewhere else. Pet Groomer puts a cat, a dog, a rabbit, a guinea pig or a pony on the grooming table for a wash, a cut, pastel chalk and bows. Room Makeover is interior design in a little isometric room, with paints, wallpapers and over a hundred and twenty pieces to place. Jewel Workshop threads beads, pearls, letter cubes and charms into necklaces, bracelets and earrings, and Pattern Press has you stamp a seamless print and press it onto a dress, a tote bag or a pair of cushions.
Every fashion game here works on desktop, tablet and phone. With a mouse you drag a piece onto the client or simply click it, and click a swatch to change its colour. On a touch screen you tap or drag the same way; Nail Art is built for a phone, so you tap a nail to zoom right in and paint it with a finger, and in Hair Studio and Pet Groomer you drag the shower, dryer and scissors across the hair or fur.
On a keyboard the number keys switch between tabs or trays, the arrow keys and Enter choose a piece, and Z undoes. P pauses and M mutes in every game. A tip for higher scores: read every picture card before you start, because the brief asks for more than the occasion, such as a season, a mood, a palette or a must-have piece. If you would rather just play with clothes, open the Free Studio.
Yes. Every fashion and makeover game on Kiloo is free to play in your browser. There is nothing to download or install and no account to make. Your saved looks, photos, streaks and best scores are kept in the browser you play in, on that device.
Yes, all ten fashion games work on phones and tablets as well as on computers. You tap or drag pieces onto the client with a finger, and in Nail Art you tap a nail to zoom in, swipe for the next one and pinch to zoom out again.
Style Studio is a good first game: one client, one brief and a big wardrobe to recolour. If you like hair or make-up more than clothes, try Hair Studio or Makeup Mirror. For a quicker game with a little time pressure, Dress Rush is the one to pick.
Yes. Every game has a Free Studio where there is no client to please and no score. You can try any piece, colour or style you like, save the result and take a photo of it. Dress Rush's Free Studio has every piece unlocked and lets you recolour them.
Nothing bad. Dress Rush is the quick, arcade end of dress-up, but when the taxi honks the client simply leaves in whatever they are wearing, with a lower score and a smile, and you move on to the next one. You never fail a level.
