Pumpkin Carver
Trace the stencil, light the lantern

A Halloween memory game for quick sessions. Turn two cards at a time, find the matching costumes and watch each pair hop down to join the parade, across 24 boards of rising size and a fresh Daily board every day.
Costume Match is a memory card game dressed up for Halloween. Every card hides a child in a costume: a witch, a black cat, a pumpkin, a skeleton, a mummy, a robot, a pirate or a bat. Each board opens with a short peek at every card, then they all turn face down and you turn two at a time. Find a matching pair and the two costumes jump out of their cards to join the parade marching along the bottom of the screen; miss, and the cards give a little wobble and turn back over, so try to remember who was standing where.
There are 24 boards, from six cards on the first to forty on the last. Bigger boards bring each costume back in a second and third colourway, on a purple moon card, a green star card or an orange candy card, so look twice before you tap. From board 13 a friendly ghost floats in every few moves and swaps two hidden cards with a soft boo; watch where it puts them. Every board has a move par: clear it within par for three stars. Matches in a row build a streak multiplier and a quick clear earns a bonus, so each board has a best score to beat.
There is no countdown and no way to lose, so it works as well for a calm few minutes to relax as for a proper brain workout. The Daily board is the same for everyone on the same day and keeps your best score and your run of days on this device, next to the stars and high scores for every board. Click or tap the cards, or use the arrow keys and Space. P pauses and M mutes; every sound has a sparkle, wobble or puff to match on screen, so it plays just as well with the sound off.
Pumpkins, ghosts and candy: spooky-cute games for October.
