Bat Swoop

Bat Swoop is a quick one-button flyer for Halloween. A little purple bat in an orange bow tie flies through a moonlit cave: hold the button and it flaps upward, let go and it glides down. Stalactites hang from the roof, stalagmites and giant candy corns rise from the floor, and carved pumpkin lanterns dangle on chains, so every gap asks for a well-timed swoop. A bump is never a big deal: the bat goes bonk, sees a few stars and flies on, and the soft cave roof and floor simply bounce it back.

Fireflies glow in trails that lead from one gap to the next. Scoop up a whole trail and the combo climbs to x2, x3 and on to x5, and the wrapped sweets waiting in some gaps are worth even more at a high combo. A friendly ghost goes boo and floats off as you fly past, skeletons dance on the cave floor and an owl hoots from its rock. The cave speeds up slowly and the gaps narrow a little as you go, and a round ends when the bat's three hearts are used up, with a Sweet haul! card showing your score and your best.

Pick Swoop for an endless cave and a high score, Daily for today's cave, the same layout for everyone all day with its own best, or Breeze for a relaxed ninety seconds with no hearts to lose. Your best scores stay on your device. Hold Space, the Up arrow or the mouse button to fly, or hold a finger anywhere on the screen of a phone or tablet. P pauses and M mutes, and every sound has something to see with it, so the game plays just as well with the sound off.
