Pumpkin Carver
Trace the stencil, light the lantern

Run down a cosy Halloween street in your favourite costume. Hop the fences, puddles and pumpkins, hop over the black cat, and jump up to ring every doorbell: each door opens with a handful of candy, and every bell in a row gives more.
Trick or Treat is an endless runner for Halloween night. Your trick-or-treater runs down a lamp-lit street of cosy haunted houses all by themselves, and you only have one button: tap, click or press Space to hop, and hold it a little longer to hop higher. Hop the picket fences, the puddles and the piles of pumpkins, and hop over the black cat when it trots out to say hello. Bump into something and a few sweets spill out of your pail; three bumps and the night is over.
Every house with its porch light on has a golden doorbell floating by the door. Jump up and ring it and the door swings open: a witch hands out sweets from her bowl, a friendly ghost says boo and floats off, a skeleton does a little dance. Ring bell after bell without missing one and each door gives more, up to eleven sweets a house, so the best runs are the ones that never skip a doorbell. Candy also sits along the pavement and in arcs over the obstacles, with the odd golden sweet worth five.
The street speeds up slowly, block by block, so a run is quick, usually one to three minutes, and your candy high score is kept on your device. Collect enough candy over all your runs to unlock new costumes: the witch, the pumpkin, the skeleton and the bat. The daily street has a new layout every day and its own best score, so there is always a reason to come back for one more run. Everything you need to see is on screen, so it plays fine with the sound off.
Pumpkins, ghosts and candy: spooky-cute games for October.
